iPad Deployment and setup
This webpage has been developed to support first time setup of a student iPad along with important information on iPad use and daily distribution. The website will be updated with additional content throughout the school year to help students and teachers become familiar with the use of various iPad applications.
Each teacher should become familiar with the website prior to distributing iPads to your advisory class. The website is designed to provide a step by step tutorial for setting up an iPad by individual grade level and offer ongoing professional development ideas for both teacher and students.

how to setup your ipadThe iPad's general setting is designed to provide the user with troubleshooting capabilities and methods for configuring the iPad. This page is designed as a guide to the numerous settings that can be used, to save battery life, add mail accounts, adjust brightness, change sound settings, notifications and change background settings.
To get launch the iPad's settings, touch the icon that looks like gears turning. The general settings icon is best located on the lower doc shelf of the iPad. Users may choose to move the general settings icon to the doc area for easy to find location. |

To move any icon on the iPad just hold the icon down by placing your finger on the app's icon until all of the icons on the screen start jiggling. This is called placing icons in a "move state". While iPad is icons are in the move state, the user can move any icons on the screen by holding down on top of the icon with your finger while moving them to a new location. (Please note when performing this operation some icons will also show a black circle with an x in the middle.)
